We visited the Innovations for the Built Environment exhibition at Earls Court which consisted of a series of over 300 exhibitors from Ecobuild, Futurebuild, Cityscape and regenex. There were many new technologies in architecture and landscape design being exhibited, and there was a lot of information about uses of materials in relation to sustainable urban design. These technologies were incorporated into the design of timber frame housing, public spaces and childrens play areas to name only a few of the concepts being exhibited. It was an interesting experience as well as being very informative about the new and very topical generation of sustainable design technologies which i was previously unaware of.
